Charter

To focus community awareness on the needs of the library and create public support; encourage and solicit gifts, endowments and memorials to the library; materially support and enhance the library's services. In 1992, when the Mamaroneck Library became a public library district, a group of citizens organized the Friends of the Library. In the past seven years the Friends of the library have given a number of things to our library and community including:

  • Adult library reference computers
  • A Microfiche reader printer
  • A Multimedia computer for children
  • Adult programs on a wide range of topics including current events and travel
  • Lectures by authors
  • Financial support of children's programming
