How To Use The WLS Online Catalog:

1. To reserve books online, you must have your library card available.
2. Open the WLS website by going to www.westchesterlibraries.org. Click on Reserve or Renew Books Online (top right corner of the page).
3. Choose an index to search using the down arrow below the search box; click in the text box, type search terms, then click Search.
4. When you locate the item you are looking for you may view Availability, Summary/Reviews of your item, the item’s MARC record, or you may Place a hold.  The icon next to the item will display the item’s format (book, CD, video, audiocassette, DVD etc.).
5. Enter your barcode at the Hold screen, Send, and, on the next screen, be sure to Select the library where you wish to pick up your item. To do this use the drop down menu next to the location box.  When you have selected the proper library click on Place Hold.
6. You may view a list of your items out and of your holds by clicking My Card at the home screen.
