Renewals, Returns, and Reserves

Renewals:

All library materials except "express" items may be renewed, subject to waiting lists. New books may be renewed for a two week period; books, audiobooks and music CDs may be renewed for three weeks, and movies that are not in demand may be renewed for seven days. To renew items, please go to the Circulation Desk in the library or call us at:

Returns:

Mamaroneck Library has a book depository (drop-off) located by the main library entrance on Prospect Avenue for off-hours returns. All library materials, except oversized items, may be returned in the book drop.

Mamaroneck Library will also accept books and other materials from libraries in the Westchester Library System.

Reserves:

The Mamaroneck Public Library District is a member of the Westchester Library System and is part of a cooperative program of borrowing materials from other public and college libraries in the Westchester area. Some materials can also be borrowed from New York State and beyond.

Reserves (holds) can be placed online using the Westchester Library System Online Catalog , by using the Public Access Catalog at the library, or by calling the library Reference staff.

Books not owned by the Westchester Library System may be requested through Inter-Library Loan. Call the library Reference desk to do this.

Note: It is important that ALL Inter-Library Loan materials
(items with blue bands) borrowed for patrons from libraries outside of the Westchester system be returned to the Mamaroneck Public Library.
