Middle and High School students, grades 6 – 12, have their own place on the lower level of the Mamaroneck Library. The Teen Room and collection is designed with teen-agers in mind. The space has lounge furniture, quiet corners for studying and cozy spots for reading. the room also has a gaming console, computer access, laptop and wireless accessibility. The Mamaroneck Teen Library provides after-school activities, crafts, programs, volunteer opportunities and study help.
Others are of course welcome to come in, browse and borrow materials, such as YA (Young Adult) books and dvds, graphic novels, manga and magazines; however, the overall space is limited to teens who wish to study, relax, read, work on the computers and, of course, socialize.
The Mamaroneck Teen Library is open from 2pm until closing on school days and follows the regular library schedule on weekends and whenever school is out of session.
Please stop by on your next visit to the library and see what upcoming events we have planned.
