Mr. Pickles, a Registered Therapy Dog, returns to the Mamaroneck Public Library on Tuesdays! Mr. Pickles is a very patient listener and enjoys all kinds of stories. Your child can bring a favorite book or we can select a title. Each child will have an opportunity to read for 10 – 15 minutes.

Moving abroad with children in tow can be quite challenging. With arriving in a new environment and all the organization that comes with it, parenting may seem even more difficult abroad. Although conflicts at home are normal, we sometimes feel overwhelmed and disconnected with our children.
This workshop will help you:
- Gain new insights into your parenting
- Understand the three pillars of parenting
- Defusing conflicts at home
- Develop strategies to support your children as they combine two cultures
Annick Duignan ICF Certified Life Coach, founder of Access Your Power Life Coaching (www.annickduignan.com), is a retired High School/Middle School teacher and supports parents as they navigate raising their children through the different stages.
Susanne Leitner NYU Certified Life Coach, founder of amoveo – expat and family coaching, (http://www.amoveocoaching.com) supports expats and their families while living abroad.
Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese exercise that is often called a moving meditation. Improve your balance and mobility with slow, controlled movements.
The class will follow along with Scott Cole’s Discover Tai Chi dvd.
The session will last approximately 25 minutes.
All participants must sign waiver before participating. Please see reference desk for waiver.
All participants must be 18 years or older.
Participants should wear comfortable clothes and sneakers.
To read with our adult volunteer: Joan Shapiro, a community parent who has worked in the New York City School system and enjoys working with children.
Children who are just beginning to learn to read, or want to practice reading, are invited to sign up for a reading time.

What is VR – Virtual Reality?
This workshop will introduce you to a new technology that education, industry, and entertainment are beginning to employ for vibrant, engaging experiences.
Participants in this workshop will build their own VR viewer and learn about how to work with a number of virtual Reality Apps.
