Collaboration: Mamaroneck Public Library & Mamaroneck High School Young Leaders Club
We invite children age 6 -10 years to a special Fun Buddy Reading Program & Craft.
This collaboration between the Mamaroneck High School Young Leaders club and the Mamaroneck Library was initiated by Julia Dorf, a MHS junior. Her objective was to bring teens and young learners (aged 6 – 10) together for the experience and benefits of a mentor program. Teenagers will visit the Library to read to participating students and engage in art projects and conversations related to the chosen theme of that session. The concept is to allow MHS students to become leaders of their community, while helping younger children to grow as learners. Each child will have one-on-one time with the experienced and trustworthy MHS students, as they collectively enjoy the wonders of storytelling and an unique learning experience.
Registration is required – please call (914) 630 – 5894 to register.
