Adults are invited to burn calories and get in shape in our new low-impact exercise class.

Walking is a simple way to get exercise. The class will follow along with Leslie Sansone’s Walking series. These DVD’s are low-impact and take approximately 20 – 25 minutes.

All participants must sign waiver before participating.

Participants should wear comfortable clothes and sneakers.

Join certified QiGong teacher, Steve Goldstein. QiGong (pronounced CHEE-gung) is an ancient Chinese form of gentle exercise composed of movements that are repeated a number of times and can be performed by just about anyone. The movements are very much like light stretching and light calisthenics. It utilizes gentle flowing low-impact movements and can even be done seated. Qigong combines movement, breathing, and meditation to improve health, fitness, and well-being by moving universal energy through the body.

Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing. Class duration is 45 minutes.

All participants must sign a waiver before participating( waivers are available at the Reference Desk and will be available at the class).

Open to adults ages 18 and up.

Life got you stressed? Unwind at the library. Turn off your phone, unplug your computer.  Join us to experience the latest trend in relaxation: adult coloring! Coloring can have a calming effect on the adult mind and help promote overall wellness – and it’s fun! Join us for an afternoon of music, refreshments, and relaxation. Drop in anytime between 4 and 6:30pm. Coloring sheets and tools will be provided. Please be over 18 to attend.
