MAMARONECK LIBRARY BOARD APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR

MAMARONECK LIBRARY BOARD APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR

It is our great pleasure to announce that Jennifer O’Neill has been appointed the new director of the Mamaroneck Library.  Ms. O’Neill, a Mamaroneck resident, will begin her leadership role on October 13, 2020.  Familiar with our community, she knows how proud we are of our library and how important it is to reach out to meet the needs of our entire community.

Jennifer comes to us with a wide range of library experiences.  Most recently she was the director at Shrub Oak, a similar size Westchester library.  She has also directed professional development and implemented long-range plans for the Queens Public Libraries. She is known for bringing a collaborative spirit among staff, customers, and community agencies and groups. Her expertise will enable us to move forward on our new 5-year plan.

Ms. O’Neill is personable and energetic, qualities much needed to meet the challenges we face in 2020.  We know you will be as excited as we are to welcome her to our library.

At this time, I would also like to thank Ed Falcone, our interim director.  Mr. Falcone, with his expertise and calm presence, was able to guide us through a successful reopening of our library. It has been a great pleasure to work with him over the past 6 months.

Warmest Regards,

Ellen Freeman
Board President
