Emotional Addictions
Jan 19 @ 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm

Community Room

If you ever have the sense that things are more stressful than they need to be, your sense is correct!

Our emotions are are at the core of nearly everything our brains do, so when we become biochemically addicted to certain emotions, such as anger, anxiety, or sadness, it can be extremely destructive, leading to issues such as depression, anxiety disorders, compulsive eating, and drug and alcohol addiction. Join John Montgomery, Ph.D., and learn how emotional addictions can cause unnecessary stress and pain in your life, and what you can do to overcome them.

John Montgomery, Ph.D, is Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology at NYU, and also maintains a private therapy practice in NYC and Westchester.

Snowdate: January 26.

No registration required.
