In 2023, Mamaroneck Public Library will celebrate 100 years of service to the Mamaroneck community. In addition to our standard fare – New Movie Matinees, Yoga, Art Classes, and Storytimes for the little ones – just to name a few – we will have special, decade-themed events all year long, starting in January with the 1920s and ending in December with the 2020s and beyond. Each month will have programs and displays featuring its respective decade’s toys & games, movies, books & Book Clubs, crafts, dances, lectures, and trivia.

During this momentous year, we are excited to introduce a new technology environment – including 45 new computers, a new top-of-the-line network security system and faster internet connection. Additionally, we will be embarking on our first renovation in 15 years, with the aim of creating more quiet spaces and social/meeting areas, as well as expanding and modernizing our Teen Room to create a comfortable and inviting space for the young adults of Mamaroneck.

MPL will continue to be an anchor and oasis for Mamaroneck, providing the community with a low-cost business center, free notary public service, Chromebooks and hot spots on loan and, of course, the traditional reading, listening & viewing materials that a library is expected to have. We are a cooling center for the community during heatwaves, and a warming center during bitter winters; in emergencies, we charge your electronic devices.

We are here for you.

We are honored to continue to be the heart of Mamaroneck for the next 100 years – so on this #GivingTuesdayMPL, we humbly ask that you open your hearts and wallets, if you can: Please contribute to help us continue our efforts to brighten your world.

Thank you!
